My husband Tony went to a Temptation concert and it was NOT good. Bruce was screaming and not singing and they looked like they were out of step and trying too hard instead of just having fun entertaining us. Otis has got issues of his own. He has been so hell bent on not letting any of the former members use The Temptations name that he forgot about those voices that contributed to the success of the group and made the name of The Temptations so great. Now, he IS being held accountable by the majority of the fans who refuse to buy tickets because of his boneheaded decisions. The only reason why we continue to see The Temps is because of Ron and Terry. The other guys including Otis are not cutting it and they are not the same beloved group that they once were. A hard lesson for Otis to learn is that a name is worth nothing without having those voices to back it up.

Tony went to a concert they had last year in Alabama. He said that although Bruce was good, he screamed a lot and Joe looked lost on a few of his steps. Ron's voice is cracking because of his age. Tony and I are HUGE Temps fans and we support our group 100% But they are human. We hold them in such high standards that it seems if they do anything we don't approve of, we as fans tend to get opinionated. I guess that's something we have to work on.
A lot of the fans that I talk to seem to be unhappy with Otis. They think that Otis has forgotten about those former members who's voices contributed to the success of The Temptations. The fans want to see a reunion with ALL the guys but they don't feel that Otis wants it because he is too busy pushing former members away like they are unimportant and suing them for using the name of The Temptations so that they can't earn a living. This is the argument that has been swirling around and it doesn't look good on Otis.

This needs to be said. Otis Williams treats his groupmates like employees, which they are NOT. If he feels that they are, maybe the group's name should be changed to "The Otis Williams Employment Agency". He is a hypocrite, who says, "No is bigger than the group", yet, he acts as like a supervisor with workers under him. And, he does not have 1/10 the talent that his fellow Tempts have. Am I saying that doing drugs and alcohol are good? No. But, neither is being a hypocrite.
If you go on youtube.com, there's an interview with Dennis Edwards, in which he takes issue with the movie, and others things. The fact is, the Temptations of today just aren't The Temptations. I wanted to get my mom their Back To Front album, but, as I expected, she didn't like the sound clips she heard.
