I am sorry to announce that E. Rodney Jones, (Earl Rodney Jones) passed yesterday (Friday) morning. Gene Anderson called me with the news. That makes Gracy, Donnie Brooks and now Rodney, three pioneer announcers within a month. I will get as many details as possible.
Rodneys services will be in Chicago. His Son, Otis will give me the details on Monday. I will forward to everyone.
The Radio Lady (Marsha Washington George) sent me this earlier today (Sunday Morning)_
E. Rodney Jones passed away on Jan. 2nd in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Below is what Urban Insite posted on their website and an excerpt of the interview he gave me for my book.

His later years were spent in Baton Rouge hosting middays and a Saturday morning blues show on KQXL; he retired in the Spring of 2002.
