It is so nice to see some HONESTY in regards to the Temptations O's lineup and this tour. I said at the offset - "Why would Shelley or O's management people group them with the likes of the Whispers and the O'JAYS plus Theo is with the Tops - why???" I like O's lineup and I have seen them perform on numerous occasions HOWEVER, after seeing The Whispers recently, and the Ojays ALWAYS ROCK the house. O's Temps are not in the same league VOCALLY as these gentlemen. As (((CW))) said : "Eddie Levert and the Ojays ain't no punk" One person stated that Theo can outsing Bo and Terry -- TRUE... fa real doe... I also stated that I would not be going to this show even though they are appearing here in Chicago at the Arie Crown Theatre tonight. My reason is I am spoiled now by the Whispers. After seeing them last year, I just think that they should have got top billing, especially here in Chicago because the STEPPERS, WALKERS, LOVE the WHISPERS. This is their town.. Alright I wish all the entertainers the best for the rest of the tour.. ((((The Whispers))))) ((((The OJays))))) ((((The Tops))))) ((((The Temptations)))))...

Jill, you should go! If anything, to see it for yourself & form your own opinions. From several posts that I have saw from people who went to see the show, they said The Whispers & The Ojays were excellent! It seems to me that they rotate who will open & close the show. For instance, someone from soulfuldetroit, went to see the show & The Four Tops had closed the show. Another person said at another venue, The Tempts had closed the show. So no one knows which act will close the show at any given venue. I hope you do decide to go. People who saw the show, say they are very impressed with G.C.

Well thank you for the encouragement (((Seain))) but I have seen both these groups recently meaning the Whispers and the Temps and for my money, I'd like to see the Whispers and the Ojays and I'd love to hear Theo sing. It is too much money I think the tickets start at $65 up to $105. It would be different had I not ever seen these performers -- but I HAVE and for my taste, I prefer The Whispers, The OJays. It's a matter of preference for me. If it was the Whispers, the Ojays and the Tops - YES - I'd go. But nah I already have my opinion. You see, I've seen all the lineups and supported them for a long long long time but for that type of money - nah I do not want to see the Temptations (Otis' lineup) with the Whispers and the Ojays. That's my preference. As far as ((((G.C. Cameron))))) is concerned, I bought his music before he got with the Temps - the original and the best "So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" and when he was with the Spinners "It's A Shame" - I knew that G.C. was the lead vocal on that so I've been hip to him for a long time too and I KNOW HE CAN SING....Peace and Blessings....

(((Jill))) Whaaat? Why the tickets so expensive? But I hear ya. I would really like to see the Whispers & the Four Tops. I've already seen The Ojays & wouldn't mind seeing them again. :bounce: Now, I've never seen the current lineup & yes, I once said that I wouldn't be one red cent to see O nem, I would, just to hear GC. GC is the only motiviation for wanting to see them so I could form my own opinions about them. I've already heard what O's lineup could do live & wasn't too impressed. One thing no one disputes is that GC has the pipes, which shouldn't surprise us at all.

I see your point, Jill; but in all 'honesty' I would very much like to see GC perform with Otis. I had really not even entertained the idea of going, until recently. Had I not had other plans, I probably would go see them. I can understand you not wanting to spend that kind of money to see your other favorite groups perform for abt 40 minutes. But to me...it would be well worth the price of admission to see this show for myself. I don't want to rely on others' opinions and judgements...I want to see for myself...hell, I just might fall in love with Otis. Who knows? (But iffen I do...please cart me away!)

;D Ahite ya'all. I see that ((((The OJays)))) and (((The Whispers)))) BROUGHT IT this weekend in NYC, as I knew they would... For some reason -- no mention of the Temps. Anyhoo, I know that people have "off" nights.. BUT I still contend that "why would O's management company group them with the likes of the Ojays and the Whispers".. Oh well, I'm not surprised - as Common said "Eddie Levert and the OJays ain't no punk!" and I ain't EVEN got to say nuthin about the (((Whispers))).... Oh well, the tour should be over soon and everyone can take a much needed break and get some much needed rest. Ahite - Peace! I'm out...

:)Well, the rest of the people reported on the Temps and they reported that everything Tempation was FAVORABLE. I find it hard to believe that the WHISPERS choreography wasn't crap! I have seen them -- I've seen them MORE than once. However, anyone can have an "off" night. I find it hard to believe from her perspective because she always PRAISES OTIS and his TEMPS and DISSES ALL THE OTHER ENTERTAINERS - so what she said don't mean crap to me. I take it from the other ladies and gentlemen that were at the show who are not biased... Ahite - peace I'm out...

I have been keeping up with the reviews of this tour; and the general consensus is...The OJays are kickin butt on this tour! :bounce: Even with GC's soulful expertise, The Tempts are not brangin it like The O'Jays. I know Otis wish he did go on that tour last year with The Dramatics and OJays but he didn't and The Review had to represent! Had he went on that tour last year, he would have been better prepared for this year. I guess once you lose your soul...it's kinda hard to get it back!

Okkkay! Jill! Take it easy! Nuthin to get your pressure up about. ;D No one accused you of anything. People have the right to say whatever they want. I wouldn't let whatever is said, phase me. This whole current lineup issue is boring to me. It's the same thing, day in, day out. The whole thing is people should just enjoy the music. That's what counts. People are too wrapped up in these entertainers & they lose the whole focus of what it's really about: entertainment.

I'm not getting my pressure up BELIEVE ME. I'm just stating the facts -- that's all - just the facts. I'm about the MUSIC , that's all. If anyone is in a dander about the entertainers -- its the person who said "Bo who".. Ahite... Peace, I'm out! btw to ((((The Temptations, The Whispers, The Tops, The Ojays)))) continued success with the tour.
(((Bo Henderson))) Be Blessed...
