Okay here's my evaulation of each singer as opposed to their counterpart role.
Dennis (Original Anchor Lead) - Now Mr. Edwards has not lost his explosion since he first exploded in the 60's. He's vocally just as sensational as he ever was. I dont know how he maintained it but he's amazing. Just as he was back in the 60's.
David Sea (2nd Anchor Lead) - Oh man, Mr. Sea can really rouse the bar with his stage presence. His voice is just astounding! He can hang with Ali-Ollie Woodson songs and David Ruffin songs. Even though "Lady Soul" is sung at a lower key, he can make it sound just as great as Ali. I mean no one can come close to Ali with that song but David Sea is good at it. He can do "Standing On The Top" excellently too.
Mike Patillo (Bass) - He's a very plain bass singer but he's got soul and can definitely do the Blue Franklins. He's very good at what he does and knows how to carry his role out as a bass singer.
Bernard Gibson (Falsetto) - Now don't get me wrong. Bernard is a very good and talented singer...... but his falsetto sounds too forced out like it's not natural for him to sing that octave like it was for Eddie Kendricks, Glenn Leonard, and even Damon Harris. It sounds too unnatural which is why I dont really fancy his way of singing Eddie's and Damon's solos but he's a very talented and good singer. Just not the right role for him.
Chris Arnold (2nd Tenor Role) - Now Chris is the other one I really dont think is right for the role he sings too. He sings Paul's parts but doesn't have the proper rough tone that Paul has. He doesn't have that edge that's required for Paul's solos and is way too soft a singer. He does Richard's solos okay because he sounds more like Richard but I'm not really impressed with his delivery of Paul's solos.
Altogether, they sound great and their harmony is just wonderful! They do have great chemistry together.
Now what do yall think individually?
