I got a chance to see the Review perform at Wolfcreek Park in the ATL last nite. I almost missed the show cuz traffic was so congested on Camp Creek Parkway. They had stopped admitting people into the park it was so crowded...which means there were a whole lot of people coming to see The Review! I got there just as they were going on stage.
First of all, I'd like to say that Chris Arnold was very much missed last nite and I am wishing him a speedy recovery!
The guys were decked out in off white uniforms and looking good! Dennis looks exceptionally well...he has lost a considerable amount of weight...almost down to his "fighting weight!" Keep up the good work Dennis...you're looking good! They opened up with Standing On The Top...as usual! Nope (for those who want to know) Dennis did not sing God Bless America...he did sing Memories and A Song For You! Now, you know I can't remember all the songs and in which order...so I'll give it to you as it comes to me! ;D As you all know, Damon Harris is substituting for Chris. I must say Damon sounded damn good! When he and David Sea sang You're My Everything, I could do nothing but hang my head! They reminded me so much of Ruffin and Kendricks I had to hold back the tears...David got real gritty and Damon got real high...you know...just like Ruffin and Kendricks! Damon does a great job; but I do miss Chris' crystal clear voice...no disrepect to Damon cuz he does sound good! Bernard Gibson, as usual, did a fantastic job with Don't Look Back...he had all the ladies putting their hands out to him when he does his thing! I really do wish they would let Bernard sing more leads! Why Dennis and David Sea gots to sing er'thang? Just joking, yall! Seriously tho, Bernard could use a couple more songs! Mike Patillo looked good and sounded good offering his trademark song...Rainy Night In Georgia (and it did rain a little...but it really didn't matter) He sounded much deeper to me. David had all the ladies screaming when he sang Lady Soul! This is one song that I love to hear him sing...it's music to my ears! They did the usual Classic songs, bringing cheers from the crowd. The Review entertained the crowd and had folks on their feet yelling and screaming for more. Yep! They got it like that!
Blondie...I saw some people Stepping out in the park. They kinda remind you of the Detroit Ballroomers...they got a lot of fancy footwork going on...not as kool as Chicago Steppers, but they were good!
Big John! It was good seeing you!
Pete...you know it was a pleasure seeing you as well!
A Big Smoochie to The Temptations Review for putting on a fantastic show! You guys are the
GREATEST!
I'll be back with more cuz I know I left a lot out.
