Hi Review Fans,
Just returned from a PBS Televison Taping in Dover, Delaware where the Review headlined the show. They were great!!!!!!. They did two sets and a total of 11 songs. They were the opening act where they did 5 songs and they were the closing act where they did another 6 songs. Between intermissions and setting up for the next act, it was a long, long night, as it is with most TV tapings. The taping started at 7pm and didn't end until 12:30am. Other entertainers on the show included Patty Labelle, The Shaft Man himself--Mr. Iaasc Hayes, The Moments, Heat Wave, Freda Payne, Candy Staton, Cuba Gooding & the Main Ingredient, Evelyn Champagne King, Howard Hewitt. It was a couple of others--but my mind is just blank right now. I did take some pictures so that will make me remember who the others were when I get them developed. The show will air in March 2005, so please be on the lookout for when it will air in your area. As you know with television tapings, even thou they did 11 songs, because of time, some of them won't be shown on the air. That is why I am so happy that I was there live in person--otherwise, I would have never heard Dennis and the Review tear the roof off the house by closing the show with "Silent Night". Ooh Wee!!!!!!. Nobody and I mean absolutley nobody even comes close to singing "Silent Night" like the Review. That was really a pleasant surprise because knowing that the TV special wasn't going to air til March--I definatley wasn't expecting to hear it. It was absolutely beautiful and leave it to Dennis to get everybody all emotional. He asked the audience to join hands and sing along. Nothing like winning over an audience when you get them involved in the show. They really rocked the house and the audience just couldn't get enough of them. I most definatley can't get enough of seeing the Review but I guess last nights show will have to be the last one I see for this year. But 2005 is near, so Review, "Get Ready--Cause Here I Come.
