Here's my Review of The Review! The guys were looking good in gold satin suits. I had never seen these uniforms before, so they might be new. They opened up with Standing On The Top and went right into Hello Young Lovers. I thought the harmony on this was superb! I can't remember the songs in any particular order, but I'll give an account as best I can. Mike Patillo was really quite loose when he did Rainy Night In Georgia. When he got on bended knee, the ladies really started screaming. Bernard Gibson did his thing on Don't Look Back...of course he was clowning! The only thing I didn't care for was Chris and Bernard both doing Just My Imagination...I would prefer it if one or the other sang it. They both do a good job, but I prefer one or the other...which one doesn't matter. Chris and David Sea tore it up when they did You're My Everything...quite reminiscent of Ruffin and Kendricks..."baby, baby, baby" "you're my e ver y thing, you're my e ver y thing!" They really showed out on this one. But then, of course, Mr. Sea is going to show out anyway. I noticed he had some new moves! Whew! He was a ball of energy Saturday night. Dennis topped it off with Memories. I hadn't heard him do it in a while...brother was blowing. On this particular night, he gave a resounding rendition of God Bless America! He had the crowd on their feet, all the while fireworks going off in the sky! Everybody was on their feet...feeling quite patriotic. The show was quite long, probably about an hour and a half...and I still didn't want to see them leave the stage!!! Darn! Special shout out to Pete. Of course, I have to say Pete was taking care of business on the drums...played like the pro he is. (((Greg Dokes))) we love you man! After the show, people had the nerve to ask us for autographs...and someone had the nerve to sign autographs! I wonder who that was??? That was too cute! Eizzie and Jill, yall got to help me fill in the blanks...I'm getting kind of foggy. I'll be back with more comments on Sunday's concert later. I'm posting a few pictures over at the photo album.

Hmmmmm, so Chris & David sang "You're My Everything"? Man, I would love to hear that. One thing about the Review, they at least change their song repoirtore so is not to bore the crowd. I like that! I guess Dennis didn't do "Naturally"? .......So yall got taken for superstars for a hot minute, eh? ;D ;D Who was the lucky autograph giver? ;D ;D

BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO--GREAT JOB FASTNFANCY ON YOUR REVIEW OF THE REVIEW. I JUST HAVE TO SAY DITTO TO EVERYTHING YOU REPORTED. THE SHOWS WERE TRULEY FANTASTIC!!!!!!. AND YEP, THE SEAMAN DEFINATELY ADDED A FEW NEW MOVES . THE CROWD WENT WILD. INFACT, ALL THE GUYS WERE REALLY STEPPING. BLONDIE (AKA JILL) WAS TRUELY FASINATED ON HOW LIGHT THE GUYS ARE ON THEIR FEET. YEP, THEY WERE SOUNDING GOOD, LOOKING GOOD AND STEPPING GOOD. I HEARD "KEEP ON WALKING" ON THE RADIO YESTERDAY AND I WAS UP ON MY FEET DOING THOSE STEPS AND RE-LIVING THE MOMENT. THE ONLY THING I CAN POSSIBLY ADD TO WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY SAID ,IS THAT DENNIS STARTED OUT WITH "A SONG FOR YOU"--AND ROLLED IT RIGHT INTO "MEMORIES " AND ENDED IT BY GOING BACK TO "A SONG FOR YOU". NOW THIS IS HARD TO DESCRIBE HOW HE DID THIS--BUT TRUST ME--IT WAS OH SO SMOOTH. AND FASTNFANCY--DID I EVER APOLOGIZE FOR HITTING ON YOU? ;D ;D ;D. IM SORRY, BUT I JUST LOOSE ALL MY SENSES WHEN DENNIS SINGS THOSE TWO SONGS. UMUMUM. THE TEMPTS REVIEW IS REALLY A BUNDLE OF TALENT--EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM RIGHT DOWN TO THE BAND AND THE REST OF THE CREW. AND YOU COULDN;'T ASK FOR A NICER, GRACIOUS AND DOWN TO EARTH GROUP. I THINK SOMEBODY FORGOT TO TELL THEM THEY ARE CELEBRITIES. SEAIN, AS FAR AS THE AUTOGRAPHING--IT WON'T ME. SO BY PROCESS OF ELIMINATION--GO FIGURE. ;D ;D ;D. AND AS FAR AS DENNIS SINGING "NATURALLY"--FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK. DENNIS ACTUALLY MENTIONED SUNDAY NIGHT THAT HE WAS GOING TO DO "NATURALLY". I WAS GETTING ALL EXCITED AND WAITING FOR IT--BUT TO MY DISAPPOINTMENT, HE DIDN'T DO IT. NEVER FOUND OUT WHY, BUT MY GUESS WOULD BE THAT THERE WASN'T ENOUGH TIME BECAUSE THE SHOW WAS CUT TO 75 MINUTES SUNDAY NIGHT--POSSIBLY DUE TO THE MISTY WEATHER OR TO THE LATENESS OF THE HOUR BECAUSE THE SHOW STARTED LATER ON SUNDAY. IM SURE MY GOOD FRIEND "BLONDIE" CAN ADD TO THIS REVIEW WHEN SHE GETS BACK FROM VACATION. BTW, FASTNFANCY AND BLONDIE, I'LL BE E-MAILING THOSE FEW PIC'S TO YOU HOPEFULLY ON MONDAY.

SOOOOOOOOO it wasn't you doing the autograph honors, huh? ;D Now I wonder who that leaves in the equation? :bounce: An-e-waaaaay...... ....Yeah, I recall when I first went to see Dennis, he did do "A Song For You" & rolled right into "Memories" then back into "A Song For You", at least I think! Yikes! I gotta go & see the Review whenever I get the opportunity. I'm kickin myself that I didn't hang with yall. Let me go & check out the Review pics. Later!

I think I am going to petition Dennis to let David Sea sing a lil bit of Statue of a Fool and What Now My Love. I think it would be a nice addition to the show. Nother thang...it's about time Dennis came up with another cd...I have worn San Pablo out! I am in desperate need of more music from The Review!!!!

HEY FASTNFANCY, I DID HEAR DENNIS MENTION THAT THEY ARE ABOUT TO MAKE A FEW CHANGES TO THE SHOW SOON WITH SOME DIFFERENT SONGS--MAYBE YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE. THEY SHOULD ADD A SONG ABOUT WIGGLE YOUR HIPS FOR THE SEAMAN. ;D ;D. AS FAR AS A NEW CD-YEP--IM SURE READY FOR THAT. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THESE RECORD COMPANIES? THEY SHOULD PICK THE REVIEW UP. IT WOULD SURELY BE A HIT.

Hello everyone. 8-)I'm back from 2 1/2 weeks vacation that was packed with fun and enjoyment. I did get some things accomplished around my humble abode also.
I had the opportunity to attend another concert of the Tempation Review with Dennis Edwards. It was EXCELLENT. The setting, the musicians, Dennis, The Review, the night -- BEAUTIFUL in Schaumburg, IL.
When they sang "You're My Everything" -- I shut my eyes and just imagined seeing David and Eddie in my minds eye.... They sung it so beautiful and they did David and Eddie much justice with this tune.
They sang "Stay" aaaahhhh baby.... I was up "STEPPIN" with them! lol! whew sigh.... When they sang "GIRL, GIRL, GIRL, WHY YOU WANNA MAKE BLUE -O-OOOO--... "
One day ya say, ya love me too, the next day ya tell me that weee are thru, my love for you was just a game, but each time we play girl my heart fills with pain GIRL GIRL GIRL WHY YOU WANNA MAKE BLUE! (Eizee this cuts for you and you know why! LOL!)....
Lawd Ham MURCY! from the first beat of this tune it looked like the whole PARK jumped up and started dancin! LOL Fa REAL THO!
I enjoyed myself! I enjoyed MYSELF! I have not had that much fun in I don't know when! I take that back, I have not had that much fun SINCE THE LAST TIME I SAW DENNIS AND THE REVIEW... Everytime I see Dennis and his lineup they get Better! Everytime I come away I'm still hyped up! I had a chance to meet all of them, including Mr. Edwards. They are truly gentlemen, and very professional without being pretentious. Dennis had us in STITCHES laffin! I did not go to Rockford, but Schaumburg was OFF THE HOOK! lol!
Oh and btw, I see that CP has put my original post over here and said something about "autograph signing"... Now why did you have to put that out there???! Anyhoo, we were standing by the place where the guys were signing autographs waiting for someone to "unblock" CP's car so we could leave. Anyhoo, this little lady came up to us and said: "Are you the Temptations' wives??" to which we replied: "Oh no, oh no, we are just Friends of theirs" by this time CP and Eizee are kind of wandering away from her and she said to me: Well, could I get an autograph on my picture of the Temptations' by the Temptations' Friends?" to which I replied: But of course!.....
Now, CP, Eizee, Seain, you have to remember that by now Dennis has named me "Blondie"! tahahHAhahahahahahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHA! SO I'm ON CLOUD NINE ANYWAY.... ya'all gotta understand that(lol)! FURTHERMORE and MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE TEMPTATIONS REPRESENT "GRACIOUSNESS", CLASS and BEING A COURTEOUS PERSON. THAT IS THE TEMPS TRADEMARK SO I HAD TO REPRESENT THEM PROPER! NOW BEING A "FRIEND OF THE TEMPTATIONS" as the little lady stated. I had to REPRESENT with the same GRACIOUSNESS and CLASS THAT THEY GIVE...
Anyhoo, LUV YOU (((Eizee, CP, Pete, Mr. Crosby and everyone else))))) that made this a most enjoyable evening..... ((((((Brother Dennis Edwards)))) luv u from your sister
BLONDIE aka Jill...

Blondie, judging by your post, I take it you are still on Cloud Nine! The Review does have that effect on a person, don't they? I couldn't sleep last night...so I got up at 2am and put on San Pablo. You shoulda seen me...all up in the mirror...doing the whole routine when Bernard started singing Don't Look Back!!! I mean right down to those hand moves they be doin!!! Don't cha, don't cha, don't cha look back! I was rockin wit David Sea....doin the worm...while gettin down on Lady Soul! I rocked that cd for about an hour...then I settled down and took my tired butt to bed...and slept like a baby! The best cure known for insomnia!
