"He owes The Late Great David Ruffin for taking them from a good group to a GREAT group, and making them the Legends they became. He owes Paul Williams an apology for messing up his Chorography" Molly,i cannot agree with you more,so ,so true.

FIRST OF ALL DENNIS NEEDS TO BE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO JENNY CRAIG WEIGHT LOSS CENTER. IF HE MADE BETTER INVESTMENTS WHEN HE WAS IN THE TEMPTATIONS (INSTEAD OF GIVING OTIS A HARD TIME) HE WOULDN'T HAVE TO TRAVEL 300 TIMES AN YEAR ON A BODY THAT REALLY NEEDS TO REST AND HE COULD STAND TO LOSE ABOUT 150 POUNDS! THERE IS NO WAY HE IS IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS SMOKY. DIANA, AND STEVIE. THEY DON'T HAVE TO WORK UNLESS THEY WANT TO. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST A MAN TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING BUT LETS FACE IT, DENNIS EDWARDS TIME HAS COME AND GONE! MARK BELL EITHER YOU ARE BLIND OR YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANY PICTURES OF DENNIS LATELY. HERE IS A VERY RECENT ONE. sharemation.com/eizzie/images/den63.jpg

YOU GUYS BRING UP SOME GOOD POINTS, SO LET ME RESPOND! OTIS HAS KEPT THE TEMPTATIONS LEGACY ALIVE BY HIRING EXTREMELY TALENTED PEOPLE LIKE THEO, BO, ALI, RAY DAVIS TERRY, GC, JOE, RON AND A HOST OF OTHERS. NOT TO MENTION YO BOY DENNIS! OTIS HAS NEVER BEEN A LEAD SINGER BUT HE HIRES OTHERS TO DO IT. RIGHT NOW GC CAMEON IS LIGHTING CONCVERT HALLS UP WITH HIS VERSIONS OF TEMP SONGS. THE MAN IS FANTASTIC! HE BRINGS A LOT TO THE TABLE! I KNOW THEY ARE BOTH IN DEMAND AT LEAST 200 TIMES A YEAR AND THAT IS COOL. BUT DENNIS GROUP(NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY SOUND, ARE NOT THE TEMPTATIONS)! OTIS GROUP IS. IF DENNIS WERE THAT CONFIDENT HE WOULDN'T NEED TO USE THE TEMPTATIONS NAME AT ALL, HE WOULD ESTABLISH HIS OWN IDENTITY! AND YOU TALK ABOUT FAKE SUPREMES! THERE ARE MORE DAKE TEMPS OUT THERE THAN ANYTHING. Yeah,I saw them on Martha Stewart....... I don't understand...first you try to imply that because Dennis & The Review work 200 times a year...Dennis didn't invest his money right and that's why he has to work all those dates but when it is pointed out to you that Otis works the same amount of days...that's cool? Sho' you right. Second,if you're gonna tell a story...tell it right....Berry Gordy hired Dennis to replace Ruffin when Dennis first jioned the group and made a place in the group's legacy and the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame....no other member that came after him got inducted Hell, none of those other members was even mentioned in that movie that Otis made. So,as talented as you say Ali,Bo,G.C. ,Theo are they don't make anyone forget Dennis Edwards...how can they when Otis' group comes to town, they advertise the show by playing the recordings that Dennis sang on and not any tunes that G.C. sang on. Otis still needs Dennis' voice to get folks to come to see him. And you want to talk about someone lacking confidence? Maybe Dennis would not use a name with "Temptations" in it if Otis wouldn't use Dennis' voice when Otis' group comes to town. Why not use the current members in the promos? Give folks a sample of how the current group is "Lighting up the concert halls". I've seen them and they aren't all that.

Otis has been quoted as saying "I'm going to ride this horse until the end". The "horse" that he spoke of are the Classic Temptations ghosts of David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, and Melvin Franklin. Had it not been for those four fabulous singers and dancers, the Temptations would have been like a lot of groups from that era, forgettable and forgotten. Lets not pretend that Oatass is more than what he is which is a barely passable background singer. ER will now slither back to the Palace to cause mayhem on her on turf. Bye ya'll. Actually what he said was "WE are going to ride the hair off this horse" And what he meant by that was the TEMPTATIONS won't be stopped. No matter what they will carry on. And what some random people on message boards say isn't going to make a difference. Oh, and please believe, Otis wouldn't have to work another DAY in his life, if he didn't want to. I'll be seeing the Review on the 29th of June. I am looking forward to it.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN "AINT NOBODY COMING TO SEE OTIS"! THAT IS EXACTLY WHO I AM COMING TO SEE WHEN I PAY MY MONEY TO SEE THE TEMPTATIONS! HE USES HIS TALENTS IN OTHER WAYS. HE IS A SONGWRITER, PRODUCER AND HE IS A TALENT SCOUT. HE HAS EMPLOYED MORE THAN 20 GUYS TO HELP HIM LIVE OUT HIS DREAM AND ALL OF THEM DID WELL. THEY NEED TO SEND OTIS A CHRISTMAS CARD EVERY YEAR, THANKING HIM FOR A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITYY. DENNIS AND OTIS WORKED TOGETHER WHEN CONTRIBUTING TO THE TEMPTATIONS. EVEN AFTER DENNIS WAS FIRED IN 1988 OTIS CONTINUED TO STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE REHIRING ALI WOODSON WHO BROUGHT PLENTY TO THE TEMPTATIONS. I REALLY WISH ALI WAS STILL THERE. THEY CONTINUED MAKING HITS LONG AFTER DENNIS LEFT LIKE SOUL TO SOUL, SPECIAL, HOOPS OF FIRE, SOME ENCHANTED EVENING, STAY, IM HERE, KISS ME LIKE YOU MISS ME, STILL TEMPTING, SOMETHING SPECIAL, AND REFLECTIONS. BOY OTIS HAS DONE A LOT SINCE DENNIS LEFT. DENNIS HAS ONLY PUT ON A DECENT SHOW WITH THOSE OLD SONGS. TO BE HONEST OTIS DOES THE SAME THING, BUT HE PUTS OUT A FRESH NEW ALBUM WITH A FRESH NEW MEMBER EVERY OTHER YEAR. You sure about that? I hate to have to be the one to tell you this, out of all of those songs that you mentioned only "Stay " & "I'm Here"was a hit and I'm being nice by including "I'm Here". I'm sure that if you had thought about what you are going to say BEFORE you say it ,you would have mentioned songs like "Treat Her Like A Lady" and perhaps "Lady Soul",but you didn't. Then, you mentioned "Reflections" ! ;D What's so "Fresh" about "Reflections"? What was so "Fresh" about "Legacy"? Didn't the group get dropped from Motown after "Legacy" was released? You also state that with every "Fresh new album" A "Fresh new member" goes along with the new album? That's funny...seems like with the release of Pheonix Rising the group was getting commercial success, even after Theo left during the "P.R." release...they even got a Grammy....then, they make a couple of changes in members and get dropped from Motown with those"Fresh new members" first cd release? And the second cd is not doing well? Maybe the problem is too many "Fresh new members"? You know,so many changes that the people can't identify with their sound? No stability. I wouldn't brag about "Fresh new members" if I were you. Unless you're just trying to talk junk instead of making valid points. I mean you haven't made any valid points. The Christmas card was just pathetic,if anything Otis should send those "20 guys" Christmas and birthday cards thanking THEM for their talents that made "The Temptations" household names and Hall Of Famers. If it weren't for Eddie,Paul,David,Melvin & Dennis,Otis would never have made it. But,like I said,if you thought about what you want to say BEFORE you say it,we would be talking about something else. ;D

I know what you mean about "random people" I agree. The Temptations have been stopped. They haven't performed together since 1989.Despite what "random people on message boards say"...I'm with you on that one ! ;D

ANYONE WHO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT OTIS CAN TELL YOU HE IS VERY LEVEL HEADED WHEN IT COMES TO SPENDING HIS MONEY. BETWEEN HIS BOOK SALES, HIS ROYALITIES FOR ALL THE MANY, MANY, MANY TEMPTATIONS HITS AND HIS INVESTMENTS, AND HIS OWN "HONEY OF A O" RECORD LABEL--I THINK HE WOULD DO QUITE WELL. I THINK THE EXTRA MONEY HE EARNS FROM TOURING IS JUST THE ICING ON THE CAKE--BUT NOT A REQUIREMENT.

MY POINT IS OTIS HAS CARRIED ON WITH SOME TALENTED ASS BROTHERS. DID I SAY OTIS COULD SING. NO! EVEN THOUGH HE CAN HARMONIZE HIS ASS OFF! WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR SOME OF YOU TO GIVE OTIS CREDIT. MIKE NYC, THE SONGS I MENTIONED WERE SOME OF THEIR HIGHLIGHTS AFTER DENNIS LEFT THE LAST TIME. LADY SOUL (MY FAVORITE ALI SONG) WAS DONE RIGHT BEFORE DENNIS RETUNRED. MY POINT WAS OTIS HAS DONE JUST FINE WITHOUT DENNIS. HE MIKE NYC YOU MENTIONED I'M HERE, A BEUTIFUL BALLAD REALEASED IN 2000, BUT YOU FAILED TO MENTION THE GRAMMY THEY GOT FOR IT! AND WELL DESERVED. THE MUSIC VIDEO WAS ON POINT. THAT WAS AN EXAMPLE OF THE FRESH NEW SOUND I WAS TAKLING ABOUT. HAS DENNIS WON A GRAMMY WITHOUT OTIS. SAVE YOURSELF. THE ANSWER IS HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! FOR LOVERS ONLY (IN MY OPINION) IS THE BEST PIECE OF WORK THEY HAVE DON SINCE THE C5. OTIS DID SIND PRETTY DECENTLY ON FOR YOUR LOVE! YES I COME TO SEE OTIS AND THE FOUR TALENTED BROTHERS HE HAS HIRED TO WORK WITH HIM IN CARRYING ON THE TEMPTATIONS LECGACY! AS FAR AS THEM LEAVING MOTOWN, O HAS SHOWN THAT HE IS A RISKTAKER, I LIKE THE LEGACY CD, IN SPITE OF WHAT CRITICS MIGHT THINK. GC CAMERON AND JOE WERE FINDIND THEIR WAY IN THE GROUP AND THEY DID QUITE NICELY. LEGACY IS NO WHERE NEAR THEIR BEST MATERIAL, BUT I LOVE STILL TEMPTING, BECAUSE IT TELLS THEIR STORY, I LOVE THAT INTRO JOE DOES ON SOMETHING SPECIAL,AND TERRY AND GC KILL THE SONG., AND LOVE TO THE MUSIC IS MY JAM. I DID'NY LIKE 50 50 LOVE AT ALL. MY POINT TO THAT IS I SUPPORT THE PROJECTS THAT OTIS PUTS OUT, EVEN THOUGH I MIGHT NOT LIKE EVERY THING ON THE CD! YES HE IS A TALENT SCOUT, DOESN'T JOE SOUND LIKE MELVIN, RONS VOICE IS VERY NICE, AND I LIKE SEEING GC CAMERON LIVE! HE'S AWSOME. LET'S CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE TEMPTS (PAST AND PRESENT)

I give him credit for being 1/6th of the greatest group in the world but I'm not accepting any invitations to the ass kissing party...And don't put my name on the guest list you would be just wasting your time. That Grammy was a gift, everybody knows that they haven't put out anything better than Phoenix Rising. I can see "Stay" winning a Grammy...the group has not put out a song equal to or better than that since. All that other stuff about "For Lovers Only" being the "best piece of work since the c5" shows me where your head is at. Legacy was not a good effort at all.Face it. What were you saying about them getting DROPPED from Motown? What risk is there in getting DROPPED? I'm happy for you that you like "Legacy" Nobody else does.Especially MOTOWN . My point is that you can support Otis and his "projects" all you want to,just don't try to sell me on it...I'm not buying. Dennis introduced Otis to Grammy, don't you forget it. I guess that's why Otis still insists on using Dennis' voice whenever O & the gang come to town, huh? I really don't think that too many folks around here is interested in "Legacy" or the songs thats on it. So go see Otis,I don't think that you have to worry about anyone on this board trying to take your seat. Who cares? The Review is and will always be the better show weather you are in the audience or not. The Review RULES !!! ;D

Ok,I'll correct you...No,Otis does NOT own the name "Temptations". I'll make another correction...no,Otis didn't put Dennis in the movie...Dennis' work put him in the movie just like his work put him in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, without him..Otis would not be in the Hall . I guess that YOU are upset because Dennis and the Review put on a better show that O's crew and STILL going strong despite Otis' best efforts in trying to stop him. I really don't think that you've ever seen the Review..a so- called "out of breath " Dennis still sings better that anyone that shares a stage with Otis today. If you need me to correct you anymore,no problem. It's so easy to do. ;D

Were it not for Ruffin, Edwards, Williams, and Franklin there would not be a horse for Oatass to ride the hair off of. Oatass has always looked after Oatass, period. If he was so concerned with the members of the Temptations there would not be enough ex-Temptations to create a choir. I hope you enjoy the show.
