HEY EVERYBODY, I SAW THE TEMPTS REVIEW AGAIN LAST NIGHT IN BALTIMORE, MD. THE GUYS WERE LOOKING AS DAPPER AS EVER IN THEIR RED SUITS WITH THE GOLD TRIM, BUT I MUST SAY IT WAS NOT THEIR BEST PERFORMANCE. THEY WERE GOOD--BUT JUST NOT THEIR VERY BEST AS I KNOW THEY CAN BE. I THINK I WAS JUST SPOILED AFTER SEEING THE DELAWARE SHOW TWO WEEKS AGO--I DON'T THINK ANY SHOW COULD TOP THAT ONE. IN BALTIMORE, IT WAS SO MANY ACTS ON THE SHOW THAT THE REVIEW ONLY DID 60 MINUTES RATHER THAN 90. THAT MEANT A LOT OF SONGS HAD TO BE CUT OUT. UNFORTUNATLY, MOST OF THE SONGS THEY CUT WERE MY FAVORITES. DENNIS DID NOT SING NATURALLY, SONG FOR YOU, DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER OR GOD BLESS AMERICA--   AND PERSONALLY IN MY OPINION, THOSE ARE THE SONGS DENNIS REALLY SHINES ON MOST. ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THE BALTIMORE SHOW WAS THAT IT WAS TOO TOO LONG. THE SHOW STARTED AT 7:30 WITH OTHER ACTS AND THE REVIEW DIDN'T COME ON TO ABOUT 10:30. THE AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION WAS NOT GREAT-I THINK THE FOLKS WERE JUST PLAIN WORN OUT FROM SITTING THERE FOR 3 HOURS WAITING FOR THE REVIEW TO COME ON. I PLAYED IT SMART--I DIDN'T WANT TO SIT THRU THAT WHOLE SHOW SO I DIDN'T GO TO THE THEATER UNTIL JUST A FEW MINUTES BEFORE THE REVIEW WAS SCHEDULED TO GO ON. I DID MANAGE TO CATCH THE LAST FEW SONGS OF THE MANHATTANS AND I MUST SAY THEY WERE VERY, VERY GOOD. ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT WAS THAT DAVID SEA, EVEN BEING A LITTLE HOARSE, STILL GOT THE CROWD MOVING AND ON THIER FEET WHEN HE DID "I WISH IT WOULD RAIN." THE BROTHER TORE IT UP!!!!. SEAIN, I KNOW YOU ARE ASKING RIGHT NOW ABOUT PICTURES. WELL, CAMERAS WERE FORBIDDIN IN THE THEATER SO I COULDN'T TAKE ANY ON STAGE SHOTS. I DID GET A COUPLE OF AFTER THE SHOW PICTURES. THIS WAS A NEW ROLL OF FILM SO I NEED TO TAKE A FEW MORE PICTURES BEFORE GETTING THEM DEVELOPED. BUT HAVE NO FEAR, I'LL SEND THEM TO FASTNFANCY TO POST SOON. ALSO, DAMON HARRIS WAS AT THE SHOW. IT'S BEEN ABOUT 3 YEARS SINCE I'VE SEEN HIM SO IT WAS GOOD TO HAVE A CHANCE TO HANG OUT WITH HIM AGAIN. WELL ITS NAP TIME FOR ME, SO I'LL BE BACK LATER TO TRY TO FILL IN SOME MORE INFO. |

Hey Eizzie, I enjoyed your review! I could tell from the way you started off something was wrong! I guess the guys really aren't supermen afterall! It may have been an off night for them due to excessive travel and there being a lot of other acts on the show. Yet, they still put on a fantastic show! I think you are just spoiled from Delaware...sitting practically on the stage and all! Hopefully, you will get the pictures soon...I know how it is when you have more film on the roll. It might take a while. I hope my baby takes care of himself. I don't want him so sick he can't perform.  I'm looking for more of your review later. |

FASTNFANCY,
YOUR'E RIGHT. THEIR TRAVEL SCHEDULE IS VERY HECTIC . THEY FLEW INTO BALTIMORE FROM NEW YORK WHICH ISN'T A VERY LONG FLIGHT, BUT DENNIS AND A COUPLE OF OTHER GUYS WERE TALKING ABOUT IT BEING A BAD FLIGHT AND A RAGGEDY PLANE. I STILL THINK THE BIGGEST PROBLEM MIGHT HAVE BEEN THAT THERE WERE JUST TOO MANY DARN ACTS ON THE SHOW.
AS FAR AS "YO MAN"--HE IS FINE. WAS JUST A LITTLE HOARSE FROM JUST DOING 2 SHOWS THE NIGHT BEFORE IN NEW YORK AND HADN'T GOTTEN MUCH SLEEP.

Hey EIZZIE!  Thanks for the great review................................... Come back soon and tell us about the setting, who else was takin' up all that time at the show, and what songs did they sing, and where were you sitting? Was Damon in the audience or did he sing too? The guys schedule is sooooooooooo busy! Its good...........but hard on a soul.  Hopefully they can get some rest soon. By the way, I don't think any show will ever top Delaware for me.  |

Thanks (((Eizee))) for your TRUTHFUL and REAL REVIEW and GENUINE CONCERN for Dennis.
You know I can not stand HYPOCRITES! I'll take this from you my sister, because I know that you are genuinely concerned for my guys. But people like Ellen over at the other boards is making herself look stoopid because NOW and only NOW she is "pretending" to be concerned about Dennis' health and Aretha's health -- when at first all she and her cronies did was talk and make fun of Dennis and Aretha (WHY they did this I don't know b'cos from some of the pictures I've seen -- they DEFINITELY ain't no beauty queens) HOWEVER, now she is pretending to be concerned BECAUSE THE REAL DENNIS' FANS HAVE CHECKED HER AZZ...

THEY TRYING TO APPEAR AS ANGELS--BUT YOU KNOW I SEE THEM HORNS SITTING UP. ;D. SAW RIGHT THRU THAT CHILE A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN SHE POSTED A LOT OF CRUEL STATEMENTS ABOUT DENNIS AFTER A NEW YORK SHOW THEY DID AT A PARK. SHE AIN'T FOOLING ME A BIT. OH YEAH--YOU WANT KNOW WHO ELSE WAS ON THE SHOW. COULDN'T TELL YOU FOR SURE BECAUSE ALL I SAW WAS THE LAST FEW SONGS OF THE MANHATTANS AND ALL OF THE TEMPTS REVIEW. I BELEIVE (AND I AIN'T SURE ABOUT THIS) THAT THE STYLISTICS WERE THERE AND SOME GROUP CALLED THE SOFTONES. IT WAS AT LEAST ONE OTHER GROUP OR PERSON--BUT I COULDN'T TELL YOU WHO IT WAS. DURING INTERMISSION BEFORE THE REVIEW CAME ON, SOME LITTLE LOCAL KID FROM BALTIMORE WAS ENTERTAINING US WITH DOING IMPERSONATIONS OF MICHAEL JACKSON. HE WAS ABOUT 9 OR 10--HE WAS PRETTY GOOD. I THINK YOU ASKED ABOUT THE SETTING. WELL, IT WASN'T ONE OF MY FAVORITES--IT WAS A HUGE ARENA. YOU KNOW I PERSONALLY LIKE THE CLUB TYPE SETTINGS. IF I MISSED ANYTHING--JUST HOLD TIGHT--I'LL BE BACK LATER.

Hello Everyone! I'm not a member of this board (yet) however, I just wanted to say that I attended the Tempts Review in NYC (bb kings, 8pm show) last week and had a really GREAT TIME! Those brothers were seriously blowing! I cant really give you a playlist of songs or anything, but please take me word for it when I say that everyone in the audience enjoyed themselves. Because of that wonderful performance, I am certainly a new fan of the Tempts Review members! MissLandra ps..a friend of mine took some pictures, if she shares them with me, I will in turn share them with you pps.....not only were they saanging, they were really funny too..cracking jokes! |

SO COME ON AND JOIN US. good morning! yes! that was my first tempts review show. let me explain....i am a big fan of eddie kendricks and normally post over at another board. well a few people over there deceided that it would be cool to meet... and it worked out perfectly that the tempts review were soon coming into new york. so we meet at the show! i actually found this board doing a serach for a dennis edwards fan site..i wanted to send him an e-mail and tell him how much i enjoyed the show. once again, i must tell you how much i really enjoyed the show! because it was close to valentines day, dennis said something about guys holding your ladies and vice versa..he then went on to joke about..'well they passed the law today, so i guess hold on to whomever you came with' (he said this in response to same sex something or other law that had just been passed in new jersey) anyway i was rolling when he said that, as did everyone else. a few minutes later, another brother (i dont know his name) well its the brother with the out of this world vocal range..anyway he started singing and talking, and said something like, they better not pass no law, all i know is guys hold your girls and girls hold your guys..IT WAS SOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!! the same guy was singing, excuse me, wailing, and got to a part where he wanted audience participation, he sang a riff and then putthe mic infrom of some guys....silence..mmmmm, he said yall dont know what time it is, lemme try this again, and walked over to the other side of teh stage, did the same thing and this time the dude responded..'its growing' well brother started ragging on the first guy talking about, 'damn youve been outdone by a white boy!' i couldnt believe that he would say that, it was too funny! i emailed my friend and reminded her about the pictures, i'm sure that i will be able to share them soon. |

THAT OTHER GUY WITH THE "OUT OF THIS WORLD VOCAL RANGE" IS NONE OTHER THAN THE EXTREMLEY TALENTED DAVID SEA. HE HAS BEEN WITH DENNIS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND THE BROTHER IS DEFINATLEY OFF THE HOOK. AGAIN, SO GLAD YOU ENJOYED THE SHOW!!!!.

Did someone call my bay-beh's name? Huh? Hey MissLandra!  and Welcome to the board! Ain't no concert like a Tempt Review concert, is there? I am truly glad you got a chance to see The Review perform and you enjoyed them. I love it when people who have never seen The Review perform, see them, and leave happy because they enjoyed themselves! I haven't seen a show in a little over a month, and I got an itch to see them real bad! Dennis is doing a wonderful job of keeping the music alive! MissLandra, did Bernard sing Don't Look Back? I love it when he does it...he seems to be really enjoying himself. That's the thing that I really love about The Review...they seem to be having such a good time...the audience can't help but have one too. ;D Eizzie, I have been extremely busy girl...please forgive me for not posting. I didn't see the new posts until today. I know you are probably getting ready for another show soon. Some girls have all the luck! |

Hello everyone! I know I've been out of the loop for a spell, so please forgive me! First let me start off by saying Welcome to MissLandra!! Great having another Dennis fan in the house! Thank you for great Review on Dennis & the boys. I've been fiendin for a Dennis show & I see that he maybe in Philly. I might think about taking a trip out there! Hey Eizzie! I've been busy, helping out your buddy FF on the other board. Sorry I don't get over more often. Shame on me. I hope I'm forgiven! Eizzie, this was one of the dates on the schedule that you put up: 04/24 FRANKLIN STATE, PA BARROW THEATER Isn't this in Pennsylvania or am I wrong? I don't know Pennsylvania at all & I was hoping to drag my buddy to come with me. I haven't told her yet though. Yikes!  I'd have to get the info from her about a place to stay for the nite. Luckily, it is on a Saturday so I can travel back home Sunday. Let's see what happens between now & then.  |
