This has got to be The Natural Four. The only reason I know this...someone I know has a picture of them. They did work in Chicago with a friend of mine...Lorell Simon of Sly Slick and Wicked. I believe they worked with Marvin Yancy too. PLUS...you didn't crop the name out of the picture! ;D :bounce:

Wellllllll, ;D I did try to crop it out but I wasn't too successful. It was either the title or his head! So obviously that was a dead giveaway. Though, I don't recall any songs they made. I didn' t know you knew one of the guys from Sly Slick & The Wicked(what a cool name for a group!). :bounce:

His name is on the tip of my tongue...can't think of it now. He made songs for the Blaxploitation movies in the 70s. I will never forget that face. I believe Brothers Gonna Work It Out was his. Was that song in The Mack? Hell, I can't even think of the movie it was from? In a minute...it will click!

Yep, Lorell and his brother Jeffery lived down on the low end in the same building as my cousins. We used to follow them around dressed in those mod clothes in the 70's, especially to The Skyway Lounge when Don Cornelius and his sidekick Clinton Ghent had a set there on Tues nites. Awww, you bringing back memories...Chris the bartender giving us those free drinks...getting us drunk...partying with The Sons of Slum...a psychedelic black band. Girl...you're triggering toooo many memories! :bounce:

Dang! what happened to my post? Anyway, that's Willie Hutch. He did Brothers Gonna Work It Out from The Mack. I was getting confused cuz I was combining Slick and Brothers Gonna Work It Out in my mind. Ooooh, those were two different songs. I feel a 70s Blaxploitation movie night coming on! Guess I'll round up The Mack, Foxy Brown, Coffee, and throw in a little Disco Godfather for good measure!

I didn't know you were a big Blue Magic fan. My favorites are "3 Ring Circus", "Love Has Found It's Way To Me" & "SideShow". I know they recorded another song I like but can't think of it right now. BTW, which one is Ted Mills? I have a Blue Magic[/blue] LP at home but I can't tell who's who because of the pic.
